The Food Technologist Role
As our new Food Technologist, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our client’s reputation for excellence. Your primary responsibility will be supporting site due diligence to ensure the production of safe, legal, authentic, and high-quality food products through comprehensive technical administration management.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Product & Supplier Management:
- Generate, review, and approve detailed product and supplier specifications
- Ensure all specifications meet stringent legal and customer requirements
- Maintain specification schedules according to established timelines
- Evaluate and maintain supplier approval processes
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in specification writing and artwork processes
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-tolerance for errors
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Food Technology qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Experience with BRCGS standards and audit processes
- Knowledge of international food regulations
- Problem-solving mindset with analytical thinking abilities
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement

- Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
