What You’ll Do as Our R&D Technologist
Product Innovation & Development
As our food technologist, you’ll lead breakthrough innovation in frozen dessert formulation. Your responsibilities include developing novel, commercially viable products that emphasize consumer appeal, functional benefits, and market competitiveness. You’ll design and execute comprehensive lab-scale trials and pilot plant operations for new product development and reformulation projects.
Research & Technical Exploration
This R&D position involves investigating emerging ingredients, processing technologies, and functional food systems to strengthen our innovation pipeline. You’ll analyze consumer trends, market dynamics, and competitor strategies to identify lucrative development opportunities. Collaboration on feasibility studies and long-term R&D roadmaps will be essential to your success.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
Our food development specialist must ensure all formulations and processes comply with local and international regulations, including UAE standards, FDA requirements, FSSAI guidelines, and EU regulations. You’ll support Quality Assurance teams in validating new product specifications and developing comprehensive compliance documentation.
Contributing to product lifecycle documentation is crucial, including nutritional data compilation, allergen information management, and technical dossier preparation for regulatory submissions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
This food innovation role requires seamless collaboration with Marketing, Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams throughout the product development lifecycle. You’ll lead scale-up processes from R&D laboratory to full manufacturing, identifying and resolving formulation challenges and process optimization opportunities.
Providing technical support during audits, supplier reviews, and customer evaluations will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
Required Qualifications for This Food R&D Position
Educational Background
We require a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in food engineering, food science, food technology, or closely related disciplines. Advanced degrees in food innovation or food product development are highly valued.
Essential Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in food R&D, product formulation, or technical innovation roles is mandatory. We seek candidates with a proven track record of successful product launches and technical project ownership in the food manufacturing industry.
Core Skills & Competencies
Our R&D technologist must possess deep knowledge of food chemistry, functional ingredients, food microbiology, and advanced processing technologies. Expertise in laboratory and pilot-scale equipment operations is essential for this frozen dessert development role.
