Impact and Responsibilities of Food Safety Manager

Strategic Food Safety Leadership

Define and implement food safety objectives and policies across EKFC operations
Lead a specialized team of food safety professionals and microbiologists
Establish EKFC’s reputation as the partner of choice through demonstrated food safety excellence
Drive continuous improvement in food safety processes and procedures

Operational Excellence

Conduct comprehensive audits of daily operations to identify risks and ensure compliance
Provide technical expertise for HACCP studies during product launches and NPD projects
Coordinate stakeholder engagement for FSMS implementation and maintenance
Collaborate with department heads to enhance food safety procedures across all operations

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance

Manage customer and regulatory audits with precision and professionalism
Maintain certification standards including FSSC, BRC, HALAL, and ISO 17025 systems
Oversee pest control programs in compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for regulatory compliance

Educational Foundation

Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related discipline
Specialized HACCP training and certification in GFSI benchmarked standards (FSSC & BRC)

Professional Experience

Minimum 7 years of managerial or supervisory experience in food safety roles
Catering or manufacturing background with proven track record of success
Microbiology laboratory management experience preferred
FSSC 22000 & BRC implementation expertise
