We are seeking highly experienced professionals with strong technical knowledge in chocolate and cake manufacturing to join our growing quality assurance team.
Position Overview – Quality Control Specialist
The Quality Control Specialist positions focus on ensuring product quality, food safety compliance, and production excellence in chocolate and cake manufacturing operations. These critical roles combine hands-on quality inspection with quality assurance responsibilities across industrial-scale confectionery and bakery production facilities.
Successful candidates will work within expanding production facilities implementing HACCP systems, conducting product inspections, managing non-conformances, and maintaining strict quality standards in fast-paced chocolate and cake production environments.
Key Requirements & Mandatory Qualifications
Educational Background (Required):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or other relevant scientific field from accredited university
- Strong academic foundation in food safety, quality assurance, and food manufacturing principles
Residency Status (Mandatory):
- Candidates must be currently available in Saudi Arabia with valid residence visa – this is non-negotiable requirement
- Ready for immediate joining without relocation delays
Industry Experience (Essential):
- Minimum 3 to 7 years of proven professional experience specifically in chocolate and cake production within industrial manufacturing or central kitchen environments
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in chocolate processing including tempering, molding, enrobing, and confectionery production techniques
- Strong practical experience in cake production, baking operations, decoration techniques, and finishing processes
- Understanding of confectionery and bakery production workflows, batch management, and quality control points
Technical Knowledge & Production Expertise
Food Safety Systems (Critical):
- HACCP (Mandatory): Advanced knowledge and practical implementation of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points specifically in chocolate and bakery production including CCP monitoring, verification, and documentation
- ISO 22000 (Preferred): Experience with ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System implementation and maintenance
- GMP (Preferred): Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices including hygiene, sanitation, and operational controls in food production
- Familiarity with food safety regulations in Saudi Arabia including SFDA requirements
Quality Assurance Expertise:
- Practical experience conducting product inspections, quality testing, and sensory evaluations of chocolate and cake products
- Proficiency in non-conformance identification, documentation, and handling procedures
- Experience implementing corrective actions, preventive measures, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies, sampling techniques, and inspection protocols
- Understanding of organoleptic testing, texture analysis, and quality parameter monitoring for confectionery products
Documentation & Standard Operating Procedures
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, follow, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) consistently
- Experience working with production manuals, work instructions, and quality documentation systems
- Proficiency maintaining quality records, inspection reports, HACCP documentation, and compliance files
- Strong documentation skills for preparing quality reports, non-conformance reports, and audit documentation
